The Goal.

The website aims to bring awareness to issues on animal meat consumption and help provide resources to rescues and new owners of rescued dogs. There are many ways in which dogs are mistreated and taken away from their rights, such as dog meat consumption. Dog meat consumption is one of the most problematic issues that are highly disregarded in Asian countries. Some rescues direct their mission to save dogs from dog meat markets, which are listed as resources on this site. Many aftercare processes for rescued dogs are also provided on this site.

About

My name is Rebecca Pan

I am a Mercy High School student in Burlingame, California. I spent my early childhood growing up in rural parts of China, where there were plenty of free-roaming dogs. There, I developed my love for animals, as I found myself invested in knowing if each dog had an owner and if they were taken care of. Despite my parents' wishes for me to pursue other careers, I discovered my passion for becoming a veterinarian, as the career intrigued me, satisfied my desire to care for various animals, and would help support the steadfast rising population of animal companions. My goal is to eventually become a traveling veterinarian working alongside animal rescues.
